Is anyone going to even watch the last two races of the 2011 F1 season? I mean, the organisers may as well engrave the trophies now, send them out via DHL and save themselves the expense of running a race.
Sebastien Vettel continued his plunder of the 2011 silverware, winning the inaugural – and uninteresting – Indian GP at a pace somewhee between a gentle trot and a canter, holding Jenson Button at a 10sec gap for most of the race.It was the complete weekend – he qualified on pole, led every lap, set the lap record (on the last lap, if you don’t mind) and won the event.
And despite being gifted a P2 start spot after a three-place practice penalty was imposed on Lewis Hamilton, Mark Webber singularly failed to do anything with it, slipping to fourth behind Fernando Alonso and essentially ending any hope of a Red Bull season 1-2. He also held the lap record right up until the last lap, too…
Not much else to report from this one, other than no dogs or cows ran onto the track, everyone seemed to have a pretty good time in India, and Felipe Massa collided with Hamilton. Again. Get these two a boxing ring, stat, and let ‘em sort it out once and for all…

The best part of the race was Vettels speech at the media con, I cried,I laughed, and im now going to India for a religious awakening.
They should have gone to the cam that points at the driver – when massa got the penalty!
Imagine the body lanuage from the mclaren pit when he did his drive thru!!!!
The track is apparently good for overtaking… but not much good if there’s no grip. It was actually a pretty uninteresting GP; I struggled to keep awake. Next year Pirelli will likely bring softer compounds to generate more exciting racing.
Disappointed Webber couldn’t get back at Button, but that McLaren is so fast on the straights. He just couldn’t make it stick. Then Alonso got the jump through his stop and again, Webber couldn’t take the place back. *sigh*
There are still battles to be had as the midfield are fighting it out pretty hard for those last few prize positions (which are worth a lot of money to the teams).
I would like to see Ricciardo take Beumi’s seat next year, but both Torro Rosso drivers are actually performing pretty well, so it’ll be a tough call by the team.
*Yawn* Not a very exciting race nor exciting year for Formula One. Vettel’s won the world championship whether anybody likes it or not.
So i guess congratulations to you Mr. Vettel for the driving talent you posess and the luck that seems to be surrounding you this year
Hoping next year the racing will go back to basics WITHOUT any of this KERS or DRS technology. Let it be down to raw driving talent and strategy.
Hardluck for Webber in the Indian Gp race, maybe next year might be his year to win.
2 more races for the year; Guess we can predict who will win these last 2 races???
Shows just what a hogg Vettel is. He should have helped Mark clintche the number 2 driving spot so they could be number 1 and 2 instead he had to be mr fantastic and not share what a doushe bag real great team player he is.
Oh by help i mean slow the other competitors down to help mark push ahead but no thats just to difficult to share.
Maybe someone will remember to update this blog when the 2012 season starts!!
Probably not though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
